Description Full-time 6am - 2pm Guest Services Representative 10-days per pay, every other weekend/holiday Why United Zion Retirement Community? Located in beautiful Lancaster County, our team of care professionals provides compassionate, person-centered support to older adults in both, our Personal Care and Skilled Nursing Settings. Position Summary: Meet nutritional and therapeutic needs and provide palatable and attractive meals; know the principles and procedures involved in the selection; purchase, preservation and serving of food; to meet the regulations pertaining to food production, distribution, and infection control. • Provide “Room Service” style meal orders to residents, with dining times from 7:00am-7:00pm. • Plate and serve meals, including hot and cold food and beverages, and snacks during meal service times. • Daily tasks include stocking the lounge, clearing dishes, setting trays, and ensuring kitchen and serving areas are stocked. • Set each dining room according to UZRC’s standards of care and service. • Document refrigerator, freezer, and food temperatures. • Complete daily sanitation logs. • Exhibit resident-centered customer service skills. • Safely distribute, transport, set, and clean UZRC’s dishware, flatware, glasses, cups, and mugs. • Follow special diet instructions and read menus. • Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively. • Clean kitchen equipment and dining area. • Serve food following sanitary regulations and health department guidelines. • Adhere to UZRC infection control standards of care, policies, and procedures. • Safely transport food carts. • Answer phone calls professionally. • Remove garbage from the work area. • Maintain floor cleanliness. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Culinary Services Department. • Training : • Attend all required in-service training, department meetings, all team meetings, participate in additional in-services, and attend monthly team meetings and quarterly all team meetings. Timely completes all required training. • Customer Service & Compliance : • Provide excellent customer service, maintain integrity, adhere to corporate compliance, and HIPAA policy. • Time Management skills, quickly adapt to changes, be mentally alert. • Flexible, caring, and ability for harmonious working relationships. Qualifications : • Education: High school graduate or equivalent OR at least 16-years old with documented student work papers. • Understand and assist in the delivery of special diets • Language Proficiency : Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
