Our client is a dynamic and fast-growing spin-off from a global manufacturing leader that is looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant to join their team! Highlights: - Newly created role within a high-growth spin-off - High-impact visibility across corporate and business unit leaders - Lean, entrepreneurial team with room to shape best practices - Reports to a highly experienced VP, Corporate Controller Compensation Range: $80,000 – $105,000+ base, depending on experience + 15-20% bonus Work Arrangements: Hybrid 4 days/week onsite in the near Northwest suburbs of Chicago Responsibilities: - Lead preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close activities for the corporate ledger - Manage corporate expense reporting and assist with accounts payable coordination - Oversee global lease accounting in accordance with US GAAP - Assist in the preparation of SEC filings and external reporting deliverables - Serve as a liaison to external auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audits - Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, and Legal teams - Execute ad hoc financial projects and analysis for senior leadership Requirements: - At least 2 years of accounting experience, ideally in public accounting or corporate environments - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred) - Familiarity with US GAAP and financial reporting standards - Strong Excel skills - Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
