Senior Mechanical Designer job at TriMech Services. Huntsville, AL. Job Description Job Description Mechanical Designer Job Description The Mechanical Designer would provide support to the engineering and manufacturing teams with design and drafting support for a local defense contractor in the Huntsville, AL area. The mechanical designer would be responsible for creating SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD design in support of the engineering team. Mechanical Designer Job Requirements • Candidates must have at least 4-5 years of mechanical design experience using SOLIDWORKS CAD Software • SOLIDWORKS Certification A Plus • Experience with sheet metal & metal fabrication • Must be able to communicate in a team environment • Support design team with Engineering Change Orders (ECO’S) and drawing redline changes • Creating 2D drawings from 3D part files • Must be able to work onsite (No Remote Work) • Experience utilizing SolidWorks CAD to do 3D modeling work preferred • Experience creating 2D drawings preferred • Experience with ISO, MIL STD’s and ASME STD’s a plus not required • Ability to work with design team to update models and drawings from design reviews and support any necessary design changes • GD&T experience preferred TriMech Services is an engineering resource provider specializing in the placement of qualified technical candidates for both temporary and direct hire opportunities.
