Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot mechanical manufacturing machines to ensure smooth production and perform routine preventative maintenance.
Proven experience as a maintenance or industrial mechanic with strong hands-on skills on older mechanical machines, ability to troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic issues, and reliability to work onsite daily.
We are a professional beauty manufacturer producing shampoos, perms, hair color, and other beauty products. Our facility uses a mix of older mechanical machines and newer equipment. We’re looking for a hands-on mechanic who enjoys troubleshooting, improving processes, and keeping production running smoothly. Responsibilities • Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot mechanical manufacturing machines used for: • Shampoo filling and capping • Perm and hair color production • Labeling, batching, and packaging lines • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and basic pneumatic issues and fix them quickly to reduce downtime. • Perform routine preventative maintenance (lubrication, adjustments, parts replacement, etc.). • Adjust and fine-tune older machinery for better performance and consistency. • Be creative in designing and adding new parts, guides, brackets, and improvements to existing machines. • Work closely with production staff to set up machines for different products and sizes. • Keep basic maintenance records (repairs done, parts used, preventative schedules). • Follow all safety procedures and keep the work area clean and organized. Requirements • Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic / industrial mechanic / machine technician in a manufacturing environment. • Strong hands-on skills with older mechanical machines (gears, belts, shafts, bearings, etc.). • Ability to read and understand basic mechanical drawings or manuals. • Comfortable with basic electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting (sensors, switches, valves). • Problem-solver with a “figure it out” mentality and the creativity to improve machines, not just fix them. • Reliable, responsible, and able to work on-site every day. Nice to Have • Experience in cosmetics, food, or chemical manufacturing. • Welding, fabrication, or machining skills (making simple parts, brackets, guards, etc.). • Experience setting up filling, capping, labeling, and batching equipment.
