We’re looking to add another BDR to our team. If you like sports, consider this a “prove it” deal. About the Team & Role We have a team of three right now: two Account Executives and one BDR. Both Account Executives started in this role. One had no prior sales experience and earned a promotion to AE in about 12 months. This position is as temporary as you want it to be. My goal is to have you promoted as soon as you’re ready. We need someone who is willing to pick up the phone, a quick learner, and good with technology. This is a great position for someone looking to break into sales or who wants another go at it. You don’t need sales experience, just a work ethic to succeed and a willingness to learn and take initiative. We have a team-first mentality. Every member on the team will chip in to help you succeed. The Tough Parts That Stink (But Matter) You’re staring at a screen most of the day, doing a lot of research on our prospects and cold-calling. That’s the core of the job. The upside: the position is fully work-from-home, and if you can push through the repetitive parts, there’s a clear path to becoming a proven full-cycle SaaS Account Executive. About the Company & Product The company is a start-up in a relatively new vertical, but we’ve already proven ourselves with strong traction in the market. We’ve already penetrated over half of the enterprise accounts in the space. We have proven systems and processes, and our software consistently beats out the competition on functionality. Your Manager I, as your manager, have had a bunch of crappy sales positions. My goal is to put my team in a position to succeed. I care about your success. Out of the five BDRs we’ve had so far: • 2 have been promoted into AE roles • 1 is still a BDR • 2 were let go So currently, roughly 40% have been promoted to AE. Key Traits Needed to Succeed We’re looking for someone who demonstrates: • Perseverance • Ability to adapt • Technical aptitude • Focus on self-improvement • Problem solving • Self-starter mentality • Team player mindset Compensation Here are the retainers/pay scale: • Starting retainer: $2,000/month • $250 per scheduled meeting that’s held • 3% of closed-deal first-year contract value • OTE with 70 meetings held is roughly $46,000 • After you’ve proven yourself (usually hitting monthly quota for 3 months): • Base is raised to $3,000/month • OTE of around $58,000/year • AE OTE is over six figures.
