The Washington Institute for STEM, Entrepreneurship and Research is expanding its national presence in quantum education and workforce development. They are seeking a Marketing & Partnerships Manager to lead marketing, communications, and partner engagement across their quantum programs, while crafting compelling narratives and building relationships within the quantum ecosystem. Responsibilities • Lead content strategy for WISER’s quantum programs, including newsletters, blogs, campaign copy, landing pages, and social media. • Develop case studies showcasing program impact, student success, partner collaborations, and real-world quantum applications. • Produce marketing collateral for program launches, fellowships, bootcamps, and major announcements. • Manage email campaigns, enrollment funnels, and audience engagement across multiple platforms. • Build and maintain a consistent brand voice across all communications. • Cultivate and manage relationships across the global quantum ecosystem - universities, national labs, startups, research institutes, and industry partners. • Coordinate interviews, spotlights, and community features with partners, fellows, and collaborators. • Support onboarding of new partners and assist in co-developing content, events, and outreach campaigns. • Lead the creation of new education programs (short courses, bootcamps, learning modules, lecture series). • Conduct expert interviews, landscape research, and curriculum scoping to define program content. • Work with scientists, labs, and industry experts to source lectures, real-world challenges, and hands-on learning materials. • Package learning content into accessible, high-quality digital or hybrid programs • Represent WISER at major conferences, seminars, and convenings in quantum technology, workforce development, and innovation. • Lead preparation for conference presence—booth materials, presentations, handouts, and event communications. • Organize virtual and in-person events including webinars, panel discussions, student showcases, and partner roundtables. • Capture compelling narratives from students, educators, and stakeholders to highlight pathways into quantum careers. • Gather program performance data and feedback to feed into reports, case studies, funding proposals, and stakeholder briefings. • Develop visual and written materials that communicate outcomes, milestones, and community impact. • Manage contractors and part-time staff for design, video editing, content development, and marketing operations. • Support curriculum, research, and technical teams by translating complex concepts into accessible materials for public audiences. Skills • 8+ years of experience in marketing, communications, program management, science communication, or ecosystem development. • Experience producing case studies, reports, videos, articles, and partner spotlights. • Comfortable representing an organization at industry conferences, workshops, and networking events. • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple workflows, contractors, and partners. • Self-directed and comfortable working in a fully remote, distributed environment. • Experience working with universities, startups, government agencies, or technical communities is a plus. • Background or familiarity with quantum computing, advanced technology, or emerging tech ecosystems strongly preferred.
