Job Posting Title: Lucasfilm Creative Development Intern, Summer 2026 Req ID: 10137566 Job Description: About the Role & Program The Lucasfilm Creative Development team leads all aspects of the development and management of story across live-action feature films, streaming television series as well as animation. Our team works closely with all departments across the company to ensure franchise continuity, marketability, merchandising, and the physical production of all our projects. This internship is a great introduction to the world of story development and management and you will have an invaluable opportunity to interact with executives in our department. We will have 2 different positions in Creative Development for the summer. One will specialize specifically in animation and the other in live action feature films/ streaming TV series. If you proceed to the interview stage, please be prepared to speak about your specific area of interest. This is a full-time, in-person internship in Burbank, CA. What You Will Do They could include but not limited to: Reading and evaluating incoming writing samples, scripts, cuts and other project materials Learning to write coverage for both writer and director materials Participating in project research to support development initiatives Collaborating with the team in organizing incoming external materials Assisting with light organizational work to ensure the logging of materials is consistent across the entire live action slate. Facilitating daily operations, such as setting up conference rooms and greeting guests, to ensure a smooth workflow within the team Attending department meetings, offering creative insights and suggestions Required Qualifications and Skills Please apply if you have: Excellent written communication skills required; including strengths in writing, fact-checking and reading/proofreading; Strong verbal and interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with diverse personalities Strong time management with the ability to seamlessly multi-task and prioritize tasks and responsibilities A Proven track record working autonomously and in team settings with a positive, pro-active demeanor Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications It would also be great if you have: Prior internship experience in development/entertainment An interest in film or series development, screenwriting, or trans-media creation, Strong Knowledge and appreciation of the Star Wars galaxy, including the films, animated series, games, and books Required Education Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior pursuing or a Bachelor’s Degree in Film, Screenwriting , Creative Writing or Media Studies Eligibility Requirements & Program Information Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements: Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program. Be at least 18 years of age Possess unrestricted work authorization Additional Information Must be able to have a consistent, reliable full-time work schedule throughout the internship The dates of this in-person internship are June 1st-August 28th, 2026 Must provide own housing during the internship in the Burbank, CA area Must have reliable transportation to/from work The pay rate for this role in Burbank, CA is $22.50 per hour.
