We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Engraving Specialist, Sales and Customer Service Representative to join us at The Trophy Case, a leading provider of custom awards and engraving services. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring quality, customer satisfaction, and efficient production processes. Responsibilities 1. Engraving Specialist Operate engraving equipment, such as lasers, rotary machines, or other engraving tools. Ensure the accurate customization of products based on customer specifications. Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure quality of engraved designs. Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on equipment, with simple mathematical tools throughout. 2. Customer Service & Sales Work directly with customers to understand their engraving needs and recommend appropriate solutions. Provide quotes for custom orders and ensure timely follow-up on inquiries. Process orders, track timelines, and manage customer expectations. Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and resolve issues efficiently. 3. Order Management Receive, review, and process customer orders, ensuring all specifications are correct. Manage deadlines and production schedules to ensure timely delivery. Collaborate with the design team to finalize layouts and proofing of custom designs. 4. Inventory Management Maintain stock levels of materials (plaques, trophies, medals, engravings, etc.). Order supplies as needed and track inventory usage. 5. Quality Control Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy before shipment or (more regularly) customer pick-up. Ensure all work meets company standards and customer expectations. 6. Team Collaboration Coordinate with other departments (e.g., design, shipping, etc.) to ensure smooth workflow. Provide assistance or training to new staff members if required. Qualifications Proven experience in engraving or a related field (laser engraving, machine operation, etc.). Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work with various types of materials (e.g., glass, wood, plastic, metal, acrylic). Proficient in operating engraving machines and related software. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively. High school diploma or equivalent. Additional Information Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Comfortable working in a family-owned business, workshop environment. Work Schedule: Part-time - can potentially lead to full-time. During open hours - Monday through Friday, 9a-5p. Shift schedules can vary depending on applicants availability. Closed for most public holidays. Salary and Benefits: This is an hourly, part-time position - hourly pay will be negotiated based on applicants' experience.
