About the Role: The Head of Marketing will be responsible for building and leading a world-class marketing organization that drives brand awareness, category leadership, and revenue growth. This is a highly visible position partnering directly with the Founder & CEO. You will build strategy, shaping the brand voice, and ensuring flawless execution across retail, digital, influencer, PR, product innovation, and community. This role requires equal parts visionary thinking and roll-up-your-sleeves execution. You’ll manage and mentor a high-performing team while staying close to the work in a scrappy, founder-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: Global Marketing Strategy Develop and execute the brand’s global marketing vision, positioning, and long-term roadmap. Drive brand consistency and relevance across all markets and channels. Identify emerging trends, whitespace, and category opportunities to fuel sustainable growth. North America Retail Marketing Build and execute retail marketing strategies for key partners (e.g. Sephora, Ulta, specialty retailers). Lead in-store storytelling, merchandising strategy, sampling, and trade marketing programming. Partner with Sales to develop GTM plans that drive velocity, awareness, and conversion. Product Innovation Lead product strategy in collaboration with the Founder, Product Development, and Operations. Translate consumer insights into meaningful innovation and pipeline planning. Own go-to-market strategy, launch calendars, positioning, and campaign narratives. Brand Communications, PR & Influencer Oversee PR strategy, press outreach, founder storytelling, and earned media amplification. Lead influencer and creator strategy (paid, unpaid, affiliate) to accelerate organic reach and community engagement. Build partnerships that generate buzz and cultural relevance. Social Media & Digital Marketing Develop social media strategy across all platforms with a focus on community, education, and brand storytelling. Oversee content development, channel growth, and platform innovation. Partner with eCommerce teams on full-funnel digital strategy and performance marketing alignment. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing marketing team across brand, comms, digital, and creative. Foster a culture of innovation, speed, accountability, and entrepreneurial problem-solving. Work seamlessly with Product, Sales, Creative, Operations, and the Founder to ensure cohesive execution. Qualifications: A seasoned beauty marketer with 15+ years of experience across brand, digital, and retail marketing. You know the beauty landscape inside and out—consumer, retail, competition, emerging trends, and cultural drivers. A strategic thinker with the ability to translate ideas into actionable, measurable plans. A strong team leader who loves developing talent and building high-performance organizations. Equally comfortable presenting high-level strategy and jumping in to execute when needed. Energized by a fast-paced, founder-led, scrappy environment where speed, agility, and ownership matter.
