We are seeking dedicated, knowledgeable, and passionate individuals to join our team! We have three open positions: • Store Manager • Aquarium Technician • Entry-Level Associate All roles work closely with aquatic livestock, equipment, and aquarium systems. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about aquatic ecosystems, eager to learn, and committed to exceptional care for our animals and customers. Job Summary Team members will help maintain the health, cleanliness, and appearance of our aquatic environments—both in-store and in the field. You’ll support clients in their aquarium hobby, provide education, and ensure our livestock receives top-quality care. Store Manager — Key Responsibilities • Conduct regular inspections of aquarium systems to monitor water quality, livestock health, and overall presentation. • Perform or delegate daily store tasks: dead pull, feeding, labeling, livestock observation, water mixing, etc. • Oversee routine maintenance including tank cleaning, filter changes, manual dosing, and water changes. • Work with equipment such as dosing systems, CO₂ setups, plumbing, RODI and water delivery systems. • Administer treatments for fish diseases; monitor progress; follow quarantine and decontamination procedures in-store. • Collaborate with the team to design, build, and maintain displays and long-standing systems. • Educate customers on aquatic life, cohabitation, equipment recommendations, disease identification, and general aquarium care. • Assist in projects around the store—setting up new sections, cleaning/bleaching décor, organizing inventory, etc. • Coordinate and oversee staff responsibilities to ensure effective workflow. Aquarium Technician — Key Responsibilities • Travel to client homes, businesses, or schools to provide aquarium maintenance. • Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor while representing the company in the field. • Perform a minimum 25% water change (or more if testing indicates). • Siphon substrate, remove debris, and ensure a clean and aesthetically pleasing tank. • Remove algae from glass and internal equipment (powerheads, filters, returns, rockwork, etc.). • Maintain saltwater sumps and equipment: return pumps, skimmers, UV sterilizers, reactors, etc. • Troubleshoot or learn how to troubleshoot equipment after instruction/demonstration. • Bring dry goods or livestock upon client request; anticipate when clients need maintenance items. • Accurately document changes, issues, and follow-up needs on invoices. • Communicate important updates to the manager promptly: client requests, scheduling issues, sick tanks, etc. • Bleach decorations on-site or in-store (reimbursed). • Diagnose or help diagnose diseases and plan treatment. • Conduct freshwater and saltwater testing; adjust care according to results. • Arrive on time, fully prepared, and complete each service before leaving. • Use our dispatch app; coordinate with the manager for scheduling or schedule recurring clients independently. Entry-Level Associate — Responsibilities (If someone applies to this role only, they don’t need advanced experience yet.) • Assist with daily store tasks: feeding, cleaning, observing livestock, stocking, labeling, mixing water. • Learn aquarium systems and livestock care through hands-on training. • Support customer service by answering questions and helping customers choose livestock and products. • Assist with tank cleaning, maintenance, and quarantine support tasks as trained. • Help maintain store cleanliness, displays, and organization. Experience & Skills (All Positions) • Experience in aquarium keeping or the pet industry is preferred but not required. • Familiarity with aquatic species and their care is a plus; training is provided. • Basic understanding of water chemistry and filtration is beneficial. • Ability to learn tools/equipment used in aquarium systems. • Strong attention to detail. • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
