Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for going from stop to stop in Long Island, New York and Manhattan, New York picking up carting garbage. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of trucks, including dump trucks. SPANISH AND ENGLISH SPEAKING.MAJOR GROWTH IN COMPANY AVAILABLE. Duties • Drive assigned vehicles to transport freight between locations in a timely manner. • Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring the safe handling of goods. • Operate different types of trucks, including dump trucks/roll offs. • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. • Follow designated routes while being adaptable to changes in schedules or routes as needed. • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road. Experience • Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL). • Familiarity with operating various types of trucks such as dump trucks, roll-off trucks. • Strong understanding of route driving logistics and freight handling procedures. • Excellent driving record with no major violations or accidents. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when it comes to vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.
