Global Quality Engineer Direct Hire Opening with Excellent Benefits! Location: Bethlehem, PA area Summary This Quality Engineer role will ensure that all products meet established standards of safety, reliability, and performance. This role interfaces with design, manufacturing, sourcing, applications, and sales teams to establish, monitor, and continuously improve quality systems. The position supports both new product development and resolution of customer quality issues, requiring strong problem-solving ability and practical implementation of technical solutions. Key Responsibilities • Support new product development projects by managing quality deliverables such as past performance analysis, FMEAs, and first-part approvals. • Investigate customer complaints, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Prepare formal reports and communicate findings. • Collaborate with Manufacturing QA to identify emerging issues, analyze data trends, and initiate containment actions. • Participate in continuous improvement projects, including Lean Six Sigma initiatives, to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ). • Develop, review, and update specifications, procedures, and processes related to product quality. • Support implementation of new technologies that enhance quality systems and process control. • Conduct product and process reviews in response to warranty claims or customer complaints. • Execute other initiatives and projects as assigned by quality leadership. Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Mechanical or Industrial disciplines preferred. • 10+ years of experience in a quality engineering role with proven success in problem solving and implementing effective solutions. • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer strongly desired. • Six Sigma Green Belt (or equivalent) required; Black Belt experience preferred. • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality systems. • Proficiency with statistical methods and SPC; Minitab preferred. • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain findings to technical and non-technical audiences. • Willingness and ability to travel globally as required - 25-50% on average - (some times no travel but the ability and willingness to travel is essential)
