Join our dynamic team as a Remote Billing and Dental Coder, where your expertise will drive accurate and efficient medical billing processes. In this vital role, you will be responsible for translating dental procedures and diagnoses into precise codes, ensuring seamless reimbursement and compliance. Your attention to detail and knowledge of medical coding standards will empower healthcare providers to deliver exceptional patient care while maintaining financial integrity. This fully remote position offers flexibility, growth opportunities, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in the healthcare billing landscape. • Review dental procedures and patient records to assign appropriate CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) codes accurately. • Ensure proper documentation of medical records, including treatment notes, diagnoses, and billing information within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. • Submit clean claims to insurance companies and follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection strategies. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, insurance policies, and compliance regulations to ensure accurate billing practices. • Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation discrepancies or incomplete records for precise coding. • Perform audits of coded data to verify accuracy and identify areas for process improvement. • Manage medical billing workflows efficiently, ensuring timely submission of claims and collections while adhering to regulatory standards. • Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or a related healthcare administrative role with a focus on dental or outpatient services. • Strong proficiency in CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems, DRG classifications, and medical terminology. • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used for documentation and billing processes. • Knowledge of medical records management and compliance standards within healthcare settings. • Prior experience working remotely is preferred but not required; excellent self-motivation and organizational skills are essential. • Ability to interpret complex medical documentation accurately and translate it into correct codes for billing purposes.
