Job Summary Client is looking for a Production Supervisor with experience in plastic film extrusion to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations. This role will oversee production activities, support a team of extrusion technicians, and ensure that safety, quality, and efficiency standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate will have hands-on extrusion experience along with strong leadership and problem-solving skills. What You’ll Do • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities for the plastic film extrusion department. • Lead, train, and support extrusion technicians to ensure proper machine operation, quality checks, and safe work practices. • Monitor extrusion lines for performance, product quality, and adherence to specifications. • Troubleshoot issues related to equipment, materials, and processes, working closely with maintenance when needed. • Ensure compliance with quality standards, including inspections, measurements, and documentation. • Review production schedules and assign tasks to maintain workflow and meet daily targets. • Implement and support lean manufacturing practices to reduce waste and improve efficiency. • Enforce safety guidelines, conduct safety checks, and ensure a clean, organized work area. • Communicate production updates, downtime issues, and improvement opportunities to management. • Maintain accurate records of production output, scrap, downtime, and team performance. Basic Qualifications • Experience in plastic film extrusion or related plastics manufacturing processes. • Strong understanding of extrusion machinery, quality standards, and production workflows. • Prior experience leading or mentoring team members in a manufacturing environment. • Mechanical aptitude and ability to assist with troubleshooting machinery issues. • Solid communication, organization, and time-management skills. Preferred Qualifications • Previous experience as a Production Supervisor or Lead Technician in plastics manufacturing. • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices. • Experience with quality inspection tools and production reporting. • Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and basic maintenance practices Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Vision insurance Experience: • plastic film extrusion: 3 years (Required) Work Location: In person
