Tatum is working with a client located in near north suburbs that is in the professional services industry that is in need of an accounting consultant at the Controller/Accounting Manager level to take on a lease accounting project, as well as taken on special projects in the accounting department. The accounting consultant taking on this project would be handling the following duties: Responsibilities: • The Accounting Consultant would be assisting with the implementation of a new lease accounting software. The person would need to have prior ASC 842 experience and exposure to reviewing lease agreements • The individual would also be reporting to the controller and be taking on research projects and prepare supporting schedules for external auditors in preparation for year end and the annual audit. Requirements: • Bachelor's in accounting or finance is required • CPA or MBA is desired • Prior experience with Lease Accounting software and ASC 842 is required • Prior experience working with external auditors related to year end and the annual audit is required. Prior experience being the point of contact for the external auditors or heading up the year end process is a plus. • Intermediate excel skills are desired • Excellent communication and ability to multi-task are a must Apply to this Lease Accounting (ASC 842) and Year End Accounting project today!!
