Description: Business Analyst 3 Typical Day in the Role • Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to manage inventory through FSL, onboard suppliers to the B2B process, and ensure inventory serialization and reconciliation for data accuracy across systems and reporting. • Key projects: This role will contribute to inventory reconciliation, data quality improvement, and supporting streamlined processes following a major system release. Candidate Requirements • Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain strong communication skills, ability to collaborate across teams, and a demonstrated track record of solving complex data issues through root cause analysis. Summary: The main function of a business operations specialist is to maintain vendor relationships, acting as a business analyst for non-IT projects or filling organizational roles above an administrative level, but below a management level. Other responsibilities may include maintaining all project management processes, including project goals, deadlines, metrics and budget. The business operations specialist usually reports to a project manager or director. Job Responsibilities: • Establish and maintain communication services across business units or from the project team to the organization. • Maintain the storage and retrieval of all project communications data and business metrics. • Review contracts, cost proposals and contract supplements. • Set up project and work breakdown structures. • Establish and document business processes. • Track project budgets and expenditures, monitor transaction controls and costs against budgets. • Predict potential budget overruns and offer solutions. Skills: • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and manage one's time. • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods. • Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed. • Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses. • Previous experience with computer applications, such as *** Word and Excel; Enterprise Application experience a plus. Education/Experience: • Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting or relevant field required. • 5-7 years' experience required. This role will contribute to inventory reconciliation, data quality improvement, and supporting streamlined processes following a major system release. What is the ideal background of a candidate for this role?: Ideal candidate should be a fast learner and a self-starter. Should be able to work with large amounts of data and comfortable analyzing data, identifying trends, and reporting data quality issues. The candidate should also feel comfortable working across internal & external partners in supply chain & engineering roles. What are unique selling points that would get candidates interested in your role over another?: The role is heavily data, systems, and process focused but there is also a lot of engagement across internal & external teams. Would like someone that is able to deep dive into data as well as engage with partners. How will contractor performance be measured?: Key performance areas are completing inventory reconciliation, identifying and tracking issues, and recommending solutions/improvements. Top 3 Must-Have HARD Skills & years of experience for each: Minimum 5–7 years' experience with inventory management and reconciliation. Minimum 5–7 years' experience with data quality and reporting. Minimum 2–3 years' experience with understanding supply chain processes and execution workflows.
