Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Cable Infrastructure Designer with extensive experience in cable infrastructure design and project management. Data Center experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills and a thorough understanding of cable infrastructure design. You will collaborate with construction managers, architects, MEPs, General Contractors and customers to ensure that infrastructure designs meet both technical specifications and project timelines. Key Responsibilities: • Design and develop detailed cabling infrastructure plans for new buildings, renovations, and data centers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate design specifications into overall construction document packages. • Oversee the execution of cable installations, ensuring adherence to design specifications, project timelines, and budget constraints. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, providing design packages and specification documents, regular updates to stakeholders, RFI responses, and addressing any issues that arise. • Develop and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports. • Create and present design proposals to clients and internal teams, incorporating feedback and addressing concerns. • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and standards related to cable infrastructure and data center design. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a cable infrastructure designer, particularly in data center environments. • Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully managing multiple projects. • In-depth knowledge of cabling standards (e.g., TIA/EIA, ANSI) and best practices related to cable infrastructure and data centers. • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Bluebeam, word, excel) and project management tools. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
