We are currently partnered with a digital subscription-based retailer that is looking for a Director of Growth & Performance Marketing. This is a Full-Time position based in Westlake, Ohio. General Summary The Director of Growth and Performance Marketing will lead the company’s digital subscription services to drive sustainable revenue growth of 20% over the next four years. This leader will own the full growth marketing funnel—including acquisition, conversion, engagement, retention, and monetization—leveraging data-driven strategies, paid and owned media, and lifecycle marketing to expand membership, increase average revenue per member, and reduce churn. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on operator with a proven track record of scaling subscription-based or e-commerce businesses. They excel at the intersection of analytics, creativity, and cross-functional collaboration. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Growth Strategy & Planning • Develop and execute a four-year growth strategy to achieve the company’s revenue targets. • Define performance goals (e.g., CAC, LTV, ROAS, ARPU, churn, conversion rates) and continuously optimize against them. • Own the marketing growth forecast and budget allocation across channels to maximize ROI. • Identify and test new channels and partnerships to expand acquisition and retention. Performance Marketing • Lead all paid acquisition initiatives (search, social, programmatic, affiliate, and emerging platforms). • Optimize channel mix to lower CAC and scale new members without cannibalizing the existing base. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Marketing, or a related field. • 10+ years of experience in growth, performance, or lifecycle marketing, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role. • Proven track record of scaling subscription-based digital businesses or high-growth consumer tech products. • Deep expertise in performance marketing across paid social, search, programmatic, affiliates, and emerging channels. • Strong understanding of full-funnel metrics, data analytics, attribution modeling, and marketing automation tools. • Hands-on experience with lifecycle and retention strategies that maximize LTV and minimize churn. • Highly analytical, with the ability to translate data into actionable growth strategies. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Digital Marketing Fundamentals: Paid search (SEM), paid social, display, programmatic, affiliate, SEO, and content. • Strategic Planning: Ability to build multi-channel growth strategies aligned to business goals and seasonality. • Data Analysis: Translate quantitative insights into actionable growth experiments and optimizations. • Vendor & Agency Management: Select, brief, and manage external partners to deliver growth outcomes. • Experimentation: Design, run, and interpret A/B and multivariate tests; prioritize based on expected impact. • Channel Management: Hands-on experience with campaign setup, optimization, and scaling across paid and organic channels. • CRM & Lifecycle Marketing: Build automated journeys that increase retention, average order value, and engagement frequency. • Executive Communication: Clearly translate data and plans into executive-level updates and team priorities. • Acquisition & Retention Frameworks: Strong command of CAC, LTV, cohort analysis, and funnel optimization.
