Billing Team Lead Troy, MI Sunroof Express is in search of a sharp, ambitious, and enthusiastic full-time Billing Team Lead to join our team in Troy, Michigan! In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the billing department, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in all billing activities. What Sunroof Express can offer YOU: • Flexible Schedule • Health insurance • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • 401k • Paid time off • Long Term Disability • Short Term Disability • Profit Sharing Incentives • Pay: $21 – $26/hour, offer dependent on experience Schedule: • Monday – Friday • 8 AM – 5 PM • In office • Full time – 40 hours The right candidate will have: • 3+ years of experience in billing, accounting, or a related field. • Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • High attention to detail with proven ability to identify and resolve errors. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and billing/accounting software. Our Billing Team Lead will: • Supervise billing representatives and manage daily workflow of the billing department. • Provide coaching, training, and support to team members to improve accuracy, efficiency, and service. • Monitor team performance and ensure established productivity and quality standards are met. • Act as the first point of escalation for billing-related issues before elevating to the Operations Manager. • Ensure prompt and professional handling of client inquiries and escalations. • Support the billing team in follow-up efforts (calls, emails, texts) with policyholders, shops, and clients on outstanding claims. • Uphold a high standard of professionalism in representing the company to clients and partners. • Maintain accountability for monitoring claims in ADD status and ensure timely resolution. • Track and report on errors, identifying trends and opportunities for training or process improvements. • Prepare periodic error reports for intake and processing departments. • Collaborate with other department leads to improve interdepartmental workflows. • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. • Oversee client invoicing processes, including standard, non-standard, and insurance company direct billing. • Ensure timely correction of client-side errors that prevent billing completion. • Review processed claims for accuracy and completeness, making corrections where appropriate. • Assign and follow up on error corrections requiring rep or cross-department involvement. • Ensure billing team handles all client communications related to billing, including phone, email, fax, and mail. • Oversee the distribution and monitoring of surveys sent to policyholders.
