Senior Mechanical Designer Engineer – Nuclear Location: Lewis Center, OH | Salary: Up to $130K (Negotiable) | Relocation Assistance Available Join a growing U.S. nuclear engineering team and work on cutting-edge automation solutions for new reactor builds, refurbishment, and maintenance projects. This role offers the chance to lead mechanical design efforts, develop local expertise, and collaborate with global teams on complex nuclear and industrial automation projects. What You’ll Do: • Design automated equipment for nuclear and industrial applications using AutoCAD & SOLIDWORKS. • Perform engineering calculations (strength of materials, speeds, pressure, temperature, force). • Support fabrication, assembly, testing, and commissioning of nuclear systems. • Serve as a subject matter expert on nuclear tooling (BWRs, PWRs, SMRs). • Help establish a Nuclear Quality Assurance program and ensure compliance with ASME NQA-1 standards. • Collaborate across electrical, programming, and fabrication teams to solve complex challenges. What We’re Looking For: • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; PE license a plus. • 10+ years of mechanical design experience; 5+ years in nuclear tooling development. • Strong knowledge of nuclear standards (NQA-1, ASME BPV Section III) and precision engineering. • Proven ability to lead projects and work with multidisciplinary teams.
