This position includes a variety of administrative support assignments such as registration; validating/indexing; document preparation; scanning; answering phones; filing; retrieving, sorting and distributing mail; copying; Bridges reset; Central Registry; LEINs; Electronic Document Management; reviewing forms for accuracy and required completeness, and compiling data for reports. This function may also include covering the reception desk. Experience General Office Assistant 5 No specific type or amount of experience is required. General Office Assistant 6 One year of administrative support experience. General Office Assistant E7 Two years of administrative support experience, including one year equivalent to the intermediate level. This posting may use the resulting candidate pool from this interview process for filling current and future permanent vacancies, limited-term vacancies, and temporary, WOC assignments occurring in the next six months in Washtenaw County. Positions being filled as a limited term assignment do have potential to become permanent, but it's never guaranteed. The physical location of this position is 22 Center St., Ypsilanti MI 48197, however, this position has the ability to work hybrid (combination of remote and office). Selected candidates who have been approved to work hybrid must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview. Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely, employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense, including: • A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions. • A high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload. • Suitable lighting, furniture, and utilities. • Work must be performed in Michigan Your application for any position does not guarantee you will be contacted by the Department/Agency for further consideration.
