About the position Responsibilities • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing software engineering organization. • Foster a strong, collaborative culture with strong emphasis on quality, velocity and value. • Ensure best practices in software development to meet company objectives in velocity, security and compliance. • Enhance team strength and accountability by establishing KPI’s to achieve maximum efficiency and operability. • Technical Strategy & Architecture: Collaborate with Executive Leadership to define and maintain the long-term technical vision, architecture, and technology stack for Stahls’ software products, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable. • Define current and future Software Development vision in alignment with Stahls’ and GroupeSTAHL company business objectives. • Identify business process optimization and automation opportunities in operations, manufacturing, and shipping. • Work with Director of IT Operations to ensure IT infrastructure is optimized and adequate to meet company objectives. • Make architectural and technical recommendations focused on simplicity and cost/value. • Project Execution & Delivery: Work closely with the Project Management Office to oversee the execution of software projects, managing the development roadmap, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure high-quality products are delivered on time and on budget. • Participation in project priority planning • Participate in task/project management for the SID development team in coordination with the Project Management Office. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the key technical partner to Product Management, internal business stakeholders, and the executive team to align software development efforts with the company's strategic goals. • Talent Management: Drive the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention of top-tier engineering talent. • Assure staffing levels adequately align with company objectives. Requirements • Expert knowledge of JavaScript, ASP.NET/Core, React, JSON, XML, TypeScript, Python, REST, WebSocket, SQL, C#, C/C++, etc. • Bachelors/Masters or 10+ years of related experience • 10-15 years’ experience preferred in Information Technology; IT systems, software development, architectural planning, quality assurance, compliance & infrastructure a plus.
