Plan and execute Google Workspace migrations, provide technical expertise during presales, and collaborate with UK teams to build a North American deployment function.
Strong hands-on experience with Google Workspace deployments and migrations from Office 365, Exchange, or IMAP, sales engineering skills, ability to manage full lifecycle migrations, and comfort working remotely in US timezones.
🚀 Deployment Engineer (Google Workspace) — North America (Remote, US/Canada) Full-time or 3–4 day week | $70,000USD (FT) or $40,000–$70,000 USD (PT/Contract) Timezone: EST / CST This UK business is going global fast - after expanding into the US and Canada last year, we hit $1M in sales last month alone. Demand is scaling rapidly, and we’re now building our first dedicated North America Deployment & Delivery function to support that growth. Right now, all technical delivery sits in the UK - which means currently, their team is working past midnight to deliver projects for US customers. They're fixing that by hiring their first Deployment Engineer based in North America, someone who can own Google Workspace migrations end-to-end and support our sales team with technical expertise during presales. If you’re strong in Google Workspace deployments and enjoy a mix of hands-on technical delivery and customer-facing consultative work, this is a chance to become the foundation of a new department and shape how we scale. What You’ll Do: Google Workspace Deployment & Migration • Plan and execute Google Workspace deployments and migrations, including: • Office 365 → Google Workspace • Exchange / IMAP → Google Workspace • OneDrive / SharePoint → Drive & Shared Drives • Configure and optimise Gmail, Drive, Docs, Meet, Chat, device management (MDM), and security settings. • Manage user provisioning, OU structure, domain verification, DNS, and admin console setups. • Conduct validation, troubleshooting, and testing to ensure smooth cutovers and data integrity. • Produce clear documentation, project notes, and handovers for clients and internal teams. Pre-Sales & Sales Engineering • Join sales and client-success calls as the technical expert. • Answer customer questions, explain migration steps, and translate technical details into business value. • Help scope new projects when questionnaires or discovery details are incomplete — live on calls or async. • Provide technical insight into proposals, feasibility assessments, timelines, and best-practice approaches. • Use your experience (and AI-enhanced tools) to read customer needs and help sales move opportunities forward. Collaboration & Future Team Building • Work closely with UK engineering teams for knowledge-sharing and escalation support. • Help lay the groundwork for future hiring in the region as the North American division grows. • Support customers remotely 90% of the time, with occasional onsite meetings when requested. What We’re Looking For (Essential) ✔ Google Workspace expert — strong hands-on ability configuring, deploying, and administering Google Workspace ✔ Proven experience with migrations from O365, Exchange, IMAP, or similar ✔ Sales engineering / customer-facing experience — confident, clear, and solution-oriented ✔ Ability to manage full lifecycle migrations: discovery → planning → execution → support ✔ Comfortable delivering remotely, self-managing, and working in US timezones ✔ Strong written and spoken English (most customers are English-speaking) We don’t require a degree — your experience, capability, and professionalism matter more. Location & Work Setup • Fully remote, anywhere in the US or Canada (EST or CST preferred) • 90% of work is remote, with very occasional onsite customer visits • Full-time OR part-time (3–4 days/week) options available
