• *ACCOUNTING DEGREE or BACKGROUND REQUIRED** OVERVIEW We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Business Analyst with ERP experience to join our Finance & Operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and ERP systems (preferably Intacct), and will play a critical role in supporting business operations and financial analysis. This role requires a motivated self-starter who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver accurate and insightful financial data that drives business decisions. Project analysis to be presented directly to the CEO and board of directors. RESPONSIBILITIES • Supports the company Mission and Vision and embodies the Soccer Post company values • Prepare monthly journal entries and assist in maintaining the general ledger • Manage month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting • Perform in-depth financial analysis across multiple retail locations to identify trends and variances • Reconcile monthly accounts, including detailed bank statement reviews • Leverage ERP systems (preferably Intacct) and advanced Excel tools (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) for reporting and analysis • Support external audits and ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies • Monitor and analyze inventory levels, collaborating with operations to improve inventory accuracy and turnover • Track and report on operating expenses, highlighting opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements • Provide financial and analytical support to business units to aid in strategic planning and performance improvement EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS • Educational background in accounting and/or internship or professional experience • Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and standard accounting procedures • Proficiency in Intacct or similar ERP systems • Knowledge of MS office and Google Suite • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including use of Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis functions • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment • Excellent communication skills, with a proactive and responsive approach to team collaboration • Highly organized and self-motivated with a commitment to continuous improvement • Strong Preference for: experience in a retail or multi-unit business environment, exposure to inventory management and cost accounting and Familiarity with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) tools and techniques REQUIREMENTS • Prolonged periods of working on a computer • This is an in-person position, based in Eatontown, NJ Job Type: Full-time Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Vision insurance Application Question(s): • Do you have experience working in ERP systems (preferably Intaact Sage)? • Please share your accounting background Ability to Commute: • Eatontown, NJ 07724 (Preferred) Work Location: In person
