INSURANCE VERIFICATION SPECIALIST Smiles Family Dental - Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex Full-Time | $15.00-$17.00/hour + Benefits ABOUT SMILES FAMILY DENTAL Smiles Family Dental is a well-established, multi-location dental practice serving the Dallas-Fort Worth community since 1996. With offices in Arlington, Las Colinas, Flower Mound, and Frisco, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence. POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team in a centralized role supporting all four practice locations. This full-time position is critical to ensuring smooth patient experiences and optimal practice operations by accurately verifying insurance benefits and maintaining our revenue cycle integrity. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility for patients across all practice locations • Contact insurance carriers to confirm coverage, deductibles, maximums, and limitations • Accurately document insurance information in practice management software • Communicate coverage details clearly to patients and office staff • Review and understand PPO fee schedules and insurance contracts • Process predeterminations and track insurance authorizations • Assist with claim follow-up and coordination of benefits when needed • Maintain organized records of all insurance verification activities • Support front office teams with insurance-related questions QUALIFICATIONS Required: • Strong understanding of dental insurance terminology and procedures • Proficiency with dental practice management software • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage high-volume workload efficiently • Professional phone manner when contacting insurance carriers Preferred: • Minimum 1-2 years of dental insurance verification experience • Experience with multiple dental insurance networks (PPO, etc.) • Knowledge of dental procedure codes (CDT codes) • Familiarity with medical insurance for dental procedures • Experience working in a multi-location practice environment WHAT WE OFFER • Competitive hourly rate of $15.00-$17.00/hour based on experience • Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance • Paid time off (PTO) • Professional development opportunities • Supportive team environment • Stable, established practice with over 25 years of service • Centralized position with consistent schedule SCHEDULE Monday through Friday, full-time hours (specific schedule to be discussed during interview) TO APPLY Please submit your resume along with a brief cover letter describing your dental insurance experience and why you would be a great fit for this role.
