Senior Supply Chain Manager Syndicate Riverton, UT Full-time Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday - Friday) Position Overview The Senior Supply Chain Manager is responsible for production planning, material sourcing, negotiating, purchasing, components, and services to support production operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring material availability to meet production schedules, and driving cost efficiencies through supplier management and strategic procurement. The Senior Supply Chain Manager also collaborates closely with production planning, engineering, and quality teams to ensure materials meet technical and operational requirements. Job Responsibilities Planning and Coordination • Collaborate with Production Planning and Scheduling to align material availability with build schedules. • Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and ensure timely phase-in/phase-out of affected materials. • Work with Quality and Engineering to resolve supplier nonconformance issues. • Participate in new product introduction (NPI) projects to source materials and manage early supplier engagement. Procurement and Sourcing • Source and purchase raw materials, components, and supplies required for production operations. • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness. • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to secure favorable conditions. • Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed. • Identify and qualify new suppliers to support cost reduction and risk mitigation initiatives. Inventory and Material Management • Maintain optimal inventory levels by balancing production needs with inventory carrying costs. • Monitor and manage material availability to support production schedules and customer demand. • Review MRP (Material Requirements Planning) reports and adjust purchase orders accordingly. • Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to resolve material shortages or excesses. • Analyze inventory turnover rates and recommend adjustments to reorder points and safety stock levels. • Lead initiatives to reduce obsolete and slow-moving inventory. Cost Control and Continuous Improvement • Support cost reduction projects through supplier consolidation, value analysis, and process improvements. • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost savings, delivery, and inventory accuracy. • Contribute to continuous improvement of purchasing and inventory processes. • All other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned Job Qualifications Required • 5+ years of progressive supply chain, planning, purchasing, and inventory experience. • Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and inventory control principles. • Proven negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Job Qualifications Preferred • 5+ years of progressive purchasing experience in a manufacturing or production environment. • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Experience with ERP systems (Odoo, Frepple, SAP, Oracle, or similar) preferred. Competency in the following areas: • Production Planning • Strategic sourcing and supplier management • Inventory optimization and planning • Cost analysis and budgeting • Cross-functional collaboration • Attention to detail and organizational skills • Data-driven decision making • Certification such as CPM, CPIM, or CSCP is a plus. • Basic understanding of firearm products
