Project Manager - Architectural Metalworking SF Metalworks Location: Colusa, CA | Onsite Join Our Team We're a home-grown California architectural metalworking shop known for craftsmanship, precision, and collaboration. We're looking for a Project Manager to lead our jobs from start to finish-owning project schedules, managing the 2-Week Look Ahead (and all other look-aheads), and ensuring projects stay on track, on budget, and on time. This is not a traditional shop foreman role. While you'll work closely with our production and fabrication teams, your focus is on project planning, scheduling, communication, and accountability-being the connective tissue between clients, designers, leadership, and the shop. Learn more at: https://www.sfmetalworks.com/ What You'll Do Project & Schedule Management • Own and update the 2-Week Look Ahead and all forward-looking schedules. • Track milestones, procurement needs, and dependencies across projects. • Anticipate and resolve bottlenecks before they impact production. • Deliver clear "on track / off track" updates to leadership and clients. Cross-Team Coordination • Act as liaison between shop, design/estimating, and office staff. • Support estimators with scope clarifications and real-time production data. • Ensure proactive communication with clients, designers, and subcontractors. Operational Oversight • Utilize project data and reporting through Fulcrum ERP and other systems. • Approve and verify time and cost reporting (QuickBooks Time). • Monitor inventory standards, labor hours, and change orders to keep budgets accurate. • Identify schedule risks and capacity issues, recommending adjustments. Continuous Improvement • Propose at least one efficiency or scheduling improvement per month. • Support leadership with resource allocation and workload planning. • Ensure OSHA practices and shop safety compliance are consistently upheld. Who We're Looking For This role is a fit for someone who: • Thrives in scheduling and project coordination, not hands-on fabrication. • Enjoys creating order, managing moving parts, and keeping teams aligned. • Is proactive, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure. • Has a strong sense of accountability and ownership over deadlines. Qualifications Required • 5+ Years Experience in Previous Architectural Metalworking management. • 5+ Years Proven experience managing projects, schedules, and look-ahead planning in construction, manufacturing, or fabrication. • Strong organizational and communication skills. • Familiarity with ERP platforms (Fulcrum experience a plus), scheduling tools, and timekeeping systems. • Ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously. Preferred, but not required • Background in architectural metalworking, fabrication, or custom manufacturing. • Knowledge of OSHA standards and compliance. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
