An Environmental Field Technician/Laborer at SET Environmental is responsible for: • Ensuring the health and safety of the crew, customer, and site by adhering to SET safety policies and procedures by identifying, communicating and mitigating hazards • Taking an active role on crews by participating in both scheduled and emergency response-based projects • Assisting in loading of equipment and supplies for project needs • Being able to exert moderate physical effort, including lifting up to 50lbs • Working in a variety of weather conditions • The support of various environmental projects ranging from, but not limited to: • Confined Space Entry – CSE • Environmental remediation • Waterway response • Hazardous materials clean up • Will perform other miscellaneous duties as necessary POSITION REQUIREMENTS • High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred) • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER or ability to obtain • Basic computer skills • Must be flexible to changes in work schedule and be available for On-call • Ability to perform physical labor under direction of crew leads • Ability to respond to out of town projects as needed • Ability to speak, read, and write English sufficiently • Industry/Construction experience preferred but not required • Valid Driver’s License with good driving record that meets SET insurance guidelines What’s in it For You: • Average entry level annual earnings $52,500 annually ($18-20/hr Plus OT) • You will join a large growing company offering excellent benefits • Opportunity for a long-term, advanced career path • Access to best-in-class resources, tools and technology • A company that values a culture of safety • All after-hour Emergency response work paid at OT rates and all weekend work paid at OT rates • Out of town work, all expenses paid plus per diem • Safety Incentive programs (earning potential of $3,000/year) SET Investments in You: Training: • OSHA 40hr HAZWOPER Emergency Response training • Confined Space Training • Forklift Training • CDL Class B Training • CPR/First Aid • E-Rail certification • Plus, MUCH more including DOT, EPA, & FEMA courses SET Environmental is an equal employment opportunity employer which provides a drug-free workplace.
