About the Role The IT Recruiter is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle for technical positions across the United States and Canada, ensuring a strong pipeline of qualified IT talent and an excellent candidate experience. This role partners closely with hiring managers to understand workforce plans, define role requirements, and deliver timely hiring solutions that comply with US and Canadian employment practices. Tasks Key Responsibilities • Manage end-to-end recruitment for IT roles (e.g., developers, QA, DevOps, cloud, security, data, infrastructure, product, and BA roles) across US and Canadian markets.​ • Partner with hiring managers to understand technical requirements, create or refine job descriptions, and define sourcing strategies.​ • Source candidates using multiple channels, including LinkedIn, job boards, talent databases, referrals, and targeted outreach campaigns.​ • Screen resumes and conduct initial phone/video interviews to assess technical fit, experience with relevant technologies, and cultural alignment.​ • Coordinate and schedule technical and leadership interviews, ensuring timely feedback and consistent communication with candidates.​ • Manage candidate expectations around role scope, compensation ranges, benefits, location/remote policies, and hiring timelines.​ • Negotiate offers in collaboration with HR and hiring managers, supporting salary, bonus, benefits, and start-date discussions in line with US and Canadian market norms.​ • Maintain accurate, up-to-date data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), including requisitions, candidate pipelines, and recruitment metrics.​ • Ensure recruitment activities adhere to US and Canadian employment and immigration regulations, including eligibility-to-work and, where applicable, visa or work permit considerations.​ • Track and report key recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, source of hire, pipeline health, diversity of slate, etc.) and use insights to improve processes.​ • Build and nurture talent pools for recurring and hard-to-fill IT roles across multiple regions and time zones.​ • Stay current on IT hiring trends, salary benchmarks, and competitive talent movements in the US and Canadian markets.​ Required Qualifications • 2–4+ years of hands-on recruitment experience, with at least 1–2 years focused on IT or technical roles.​ • Demonstrated success managing full-cycle recruitment for US and/or Canadian positions in an in-house or agency environment.​ • Strong understanding of common IT roles, tech stacks, and terminology (e.g., Java, .NET, Python, cloud platforms, databases, DevOps tools).​ • Experience using ATS and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, major job boards, resume databases).​ • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with both hiring managers and candidates.​ • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple requisitions and meet tight deadlines.​ • Working knowledge of basic employment concepts in US and/or Canadian contexts (e.g., at-will employment, privacy, anti-discrimination, and accommodation) Requirements Preferred Qualifications • Experience recruiting across multiple US time zones and major Canadian hubs (e.g., Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary).​ • Prior experience in an agency, RPO, or high-growth technology company.​ • Familiarity with US employment classifications and, where relevant, visa categories (e.g., W2, 1099, C2C; H-1B, TN, OPT, etc.), as well as Canadian work authorization basics.​ • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.​ Key Competencies • Talent sourcing and networking in IT communities.​ • Candidate assessment and interviewing.​ • Stakeholder management and expectation setting.​ • Data-driven decision-making using recruiting metrics.​ • Adaptability in a fast-paced, high-volume recruitment environment.
