Scout Space Inc. is excited to announce our 2026 internship program! We are seeking candidates in various engineering fields. Please see the below role definitions for these opportunities. All internship opportunities are mainly remote, but may involve in-person opportunities. Scout Space is building a new way to see and operate in space: with a new paradigm of data empowering every satellite to make space safer. We are a rapidly-growing team; we are deploying real solutions to orbit over the next 2 years; and our work will transform the face of spaceflight. We are looking for people that bring excitement and energy to our organization, are curious and eager to learn, and want to help drive our programs forward. Responsibilities: Understand and develop mechanical requirements and constraints for spacecraft sensor subsystems Contribute to mechanical design, thermal analysis and structural analysis Design and model optomechanical prototypes and test equipment Support lab-based sensor integration and testing Requirements: Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or other related field. Rising Juniors, Seniors, or graduate students only. SolidWorks or similar CAD software expertise Experience in data analysis in Python, Matlab, or Excel Hands-on fabrication and GD&T experience a plus Benefits & Perks: Flexible work hours Free Scout Swag! Compensation is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Standard pay for this internship is $30/hour.
