3-5 years of related mechanical and electrical maintenance experience, ability to follow detailed instructions, physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, and a valid driver's license preferred.
Maintenance Mechanic Maintenance The Maintenance Mechanic will: Perform corrective and preventive maintenance in accordance with the work order system. Respond to emergency calls (fire, elevators, nurse call, etc.) within 15-30 minutes of receipt. Perform preventive maintenance in accordance with the work order system. Display appropriate knowledge of the mechanical and electrical trades. Perform work assignments in a safe manner. Perform other miscellaneous tasks. Requirements: Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions. A general understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment and operations normally acquired through similar on-the-job training and 3-5 years of related experience. Ability to meet deadlines, to concentrate and pay attention to details. Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and in a courteous manner with Hospital personnel. Work requires prolonged standing and the ability to walk, climb ladders, lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds and heavy objects up to 50 pounds. Work requires exposure to unpleasant odors. Must be familiar with and exercise precautions for working near live electrical equipment and hazards associated with operating mechanical equipment. Valid and in good standing driver’s license issued by the state of New Jersey preferred due to the possibility of driving a facility vehicle to our various locations. Salary Range: 18.47 - 28.61 USD We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials. The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
