Operate company trucks to transport US Mail and Freight, perform inspections, maintain safety standards, and provide customer service.
Minimum 2 years OTR driving experience, clean driving record, ability to pass background and drug screenings, and maintain DOT/OSHA certifications.
Position Description: • 2 Years Minimum OTR Experience • No Accidents in Previous 3 years • No At Fault Accidents in Previous 5 Years • No more than 2 moving violations in previous 3 years • No DUI's in Previous 7 years • No Positive Drug Screens in Previous 7 years • Must be able to meet background screening requirements from the US Postal Service Drivers in this position will be based in our Nashville, TN terminal and primarily in the Southeast and Midwest Regions pulling US Mail to Distribution Centers in Nashville, TN, Chicago, IL, and Jacksonville, FL. Drivers can expect to be on a dedicated schedule with regular days off each week in Nashville, TN. This route is all no-touch US mail to the driver, 90% drop and hook, but some facilities do require live unloads Drivers should expect to be home every other day in Nashville and off for 36-48 hrs in Nashville once per week. Drivers will have the same schedule each week and will have the same days off each week. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS: Operate company-owned/leased trucks to facilitate the movement of US Mail operations and Freight operations. Operate company-owned/leased trucks for the delivery, pickup, and relocation of US Mail and Freight. Perform required before, during, and after-operation inspections on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to shop personnel; clean equipment and required reports Provide outstanding customer service during the delivery and pickup operations of US Mail and Freight. Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA, and the company safety programs. Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you.
