The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview: The Pharmacy Technician Specialty will participate in the medication reconciliation process, which will include accessing the electronic medical record EMR in the Emergency Department (ED) and identifying patients who have been in the ED with a note in the chart indicating they will be admitted. The Pharmacy Technician Specialty will interview the patient or their family member to obtain an accurate medication history. This role will also need to review the currently documented external prescription history and contact the patients' retail pharmacy to resolve any medication concerns.
