Job Title: Environmental Service Aide Location: New Brunswick (NB) Department Name: Environmental Services Req #: 0000219518 Status: Hourly Shift: Evening Pay Range: $17.14 - $19.19 per hour Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview: Cleans all patient and non-patient areas of the hospital, and other areas as directed. Qualifications: Required: • Ability to speak, read and write English. Scheduling Requirements: • Full Time Evening • Work week hours: 4pm – 12:30am • Rotating Weekend and holiday hours: 7am – 3:30pm Essential Functions: • Dust, damp mop, spot clean and disinfect fixtures, furnishings in both patient and non-patient areas • Vacuum and spot clean mats and carpets, as assigned • Empty, clean and re-line waste baskets • Transport regular and contaminated waste to the utility room • Wash and disinfect bed/crib at discharge and prepare bed for new occupant. • Follow isolation cleaning procedures when cleaning isolation rooms to prevent the spread of pathogens • Clean and disinfect daily bathroom fixtures, mirrors, windows, doors, walls and replenish bathroom supplies if necessary • Notifies supervisor when supplies in the Environmental Services storage room are low • Write work orders when repairs are needed in assigned areas • Maintain tools and equipment and is responsible for economical use of supplies • Enhance professional growth and development by attending in services, required meetings and other educational programs Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
