Ready to help transform how the world’s most important technologies are powered? Join us. Role Summary Rowan Digital Infrastructure is seeking a Market Intelligence Manager to build and lead its integrated intelligence function across energy markets, power systems, and water resources, enabling more accurate and data-driven hyperscale development decisions for our growing portfolio. The Market Intelligence Manager is a senior analytical role responsible for producing the forecasts, infrastructure assessments, and competitive analyses that directly inform site selection, customer contracting strategy, utility engagement, procurement planning, and delivery risk identification. The role requires advanced technical capability to evaluate ISO/RTO price dynamics, resource adequacy outlooks, transmission capacity constraints, interconnection queue progression, regional water availability and permitting frameworks, and more. The role will convers these variables into quantified scenarios, risk-adjusted timelines, and market prioritization tools that support multi-GW development decisions across the United States. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this role will establish data-driven processes, build modeling frameworks, and deliver concise, decision-ready insights to cross-functional partners. Success in this role is defined by improved accuracy in market targeting, clearer early-warning signals for infrastructure and regulatory risks, and stronger competitive positioning rooted in technical market fundamentals. Travel: Ability to travel up to (25%) for company gatherings or to project sites. Location: Denver, CO or Seattle, WA (Hybrid) Compensation: $150-$185K (Offers Bonus) Essential Responsibilities Monitor ISO/RTO market conditions across PJM, ERCOT, MISO, CAISO, and WECC to develop short- and long-term energy price forecasts, including nodal congestion, basis risk, and LMP trends. Assess resource adequacy, capacity evolution, and policy reforms impacting reliability and price outlooks. Provide market intelligence to support customer contracting, procurement strategy, and CFE planning. Analyze transmission capacity, constraints, and planned grid upgrades that impact site feasibility and conduct interconnection queue analysis to evaluate competitive pressure, cycle times, project attrition, and potential system upgrades. Identify long-term risks related to grid congestion, curtailment, and infrastructure delays. Evaluate water availability and assess long-term water supply resilience, constraints, and cost implications for hyperscale development. Provide insights to development teams regarding water-related schedule and regulatory risks. Maintain dashboards and reports that serve as a “single source of truth” for early signals, risks, and opportunities. Education, Skills, and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Energy Economics, Engineering, Environmental Science, Public Policy, or related field (required). Master’s degree preferred (Energy Systems, Engineering, Economics, or similar). 7–10 years in energy markets, power systems modeling, regulatory analysis, water resource planning, or infrastructure strategy. Expert understanding of ISO/RTO markets, LMP dynamics, capacity markets, resource adequacy, and long-range price forecasting. Working knowledge of transmission planning, congestion analysis, grid topology, and interconnection queue processes. Familiarity with water resource evaluations, municipal/utility water systems, permitting, and regulatory frameworks. Proficiency in analytical modeling (Excel, Python, R, or equivalent). Ability to build dashboards, scorecards, and scenario models that synthesize complex data. Demonstrated ability to integrate multi-dimensional market factors into clear, decision-ready insights. Strong communication - skilled at distilling complex information into concise, actionable recommendations and able to translate complexity for executives and non-technical stakeholders.
