The Opportunity We're seeking a dynamic and relationship-driven professional to pioneer our expansion into the high school market. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of culinary education for students, educators, and communities while building a territory from the ground up. You'll be introducing comprehensive training solutions that genuinely transform lives, opening doors to careers, college credits, and life skills that extend far beyond the classroom. What You'll Do Build Strategic Relationships • Develop and nurture a robust network of school district administrators, career counselors, CTE directors, and educational decision-makers • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor on culinary education pathways and workforce development solutions • Create lasting partnerships that position Rouxbe as the go-to resource for culinary and hospitality training Drive Multiple Revenue Streams • Present enterprise-level training solutions to schools, including micro-credentials, DOL-registered apprenticeship programs, and CTE curriculum • Introduce professional development opportunities to school food service staff seeking to elevate their culinary skills • Develop family and community engagement programs, including fundraising initiatives that benefit students and schools • Identify and pursue diverse opportunities within each district to maximize program adoption and impact Educate and Advocate • Articulate the value of Rouxbe's offerings: career readiness training, college credit opportunities, life skills development, and professional certifications • Demonstrate how our platform addresses the needs of diverse student populations—from those seeking immediate employment to college-bound students • Champion culinary arts as a viable and rewarding career pathway Execute and Grow • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract negotiation and implementation • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and client success • Track market insights and contribute to the refinement of our high school market strategy • Attend local and regional conferences to support your efforts Who You Are Experience & Background • Proven track record in B2B sales, educational sales, or territory development (3+ years preferred) • An existing network of educational contacts in the high school market throughout the United States • Experience working with K-12 education systems, school districts, or educational technology strongly preferred • Understanding of Career and Technical Education (CTE), workforce development, or vocational training is a significant plus • Culinary or hospitality industry knowledge is beneficial but not required Skills & Attributes • Exceptional relationship-builder who thrives on creating authentic, long-term connections • Articulate communicator who can convey complex value propositions with clarity and enthusiasm • Self-starter with entrepreneurial drive and the ability to work independently • Strategic thinker who can identify opportunities across multiple stakeholder groups • Organized and process-driven with strong follow-through • Comfortable with technology and learning management systems • Willing and able to travel to school districts (expect 25-40% travel depending on territory) Personal Qualities • Passionate about education and student success • Mission-driven with genuine belief in the transformative power of quality training • Resilient and adaptable in navigating complex organizational structures • Consultative approach rather than transactional selling style What We Offer • Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission structure • Comprehensive benefits package • Professional development and ongoing training • Opportunity to shape a new market vertical within a growing company • The satisfaction of genuinely impacting students' futures and opening career pathways • Collaborative, mission-focused company culture • Remote work flexibility with autonomy to manage your territory Why This Role Matters Culinary arts and hospitality represent one of the largest employment sectors in the United States, yet many students never consider these career pathways or receive quality training.
