Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency with POS systems, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual abilities and previous retail or grocery store experience are highly valued. Duties • Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges • Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries • Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods accurately and securely • Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance sales opportunities • Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about merchandise • Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and organizing displays • Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment • Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and welcoming • Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns promptly and professionally • Support merchandising efforts through product placement and signage updates • Engage in basic retail math for transactions and sales tracking Experience • Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments • Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures • Supervising experience is a plus for leadership roles within the team • Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases • Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening skills • Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies is advantageous • Ability to perform retail math accurately for daily transactions and inventory counts This position offers an engaging work environment where excellent customer service is valued.
