Lead Software Engineer - Radar The Opportunity A rapidly growing aerospace and defence technology company is seeking a Lead Software Engineer – Radar to help build next-generation radar systems. This role offers the chance to work at the intersection of R&D and production, supporting both early-stage innovation and deployed systems in the hands of U.S. and international customers. You’ll join a highly collaborative engineering team where your contributions will directly shape real-world capabilities in national security and aerospace applications. What You’ll Do as the Lead Software Engineer - Radar • Develop software for advanced radar products across both R&D and production programs. • Integrate software with hardware, primarily leveraging COTS platforms. • Support deployed systems in operational environments. • Work full-time on-site in Hawthorne, CA in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. What You Bring as the Lead Software Engineer - Radar • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field. • 3+ years of professional object-oriented software development. • Advanced Python development experience. • Strong background with Linux-based software development. • Experience with Agile processes (Scrum, CI, TDD). • U.S. Person status (required). Bonus Skills • Radar, EO/IR, or EW software development experience. • Knowledge of radar algorithms, signal processing, target detection, or tracking. • DoD security clearance (current or previous). • Familiarity with CUDA, SDRs, embedded SW, networks, DevOps/CI/CD, Docker/containers. • Additional coding skills in C++, Rust, Java, Go, or NodeJS. • Experience with modeling & simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, or software-in-the-loop environments. • Knowledge of defence architectures and standards (OMS, SOSA, Link-16).
