Evening Logistics Supervisor Rocky Mountain Laboratories – Draper, Utah About Us Rocky Mountain Laboratories is a clinical laboratory providing comprehensive laboratory services. We are dedicated to delivering accurate and timely diagnostic information and are committed to improving healthcare outcomes through cutting-edge technology and a customer-focused approach. Position The Logistics Supervisor is a key leader within the Logistics Department and is responsible for overseeing evening courier operations to ensure the accurate, compliant, and timely transport of medical specimens. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, this role supervises Couriers and Lead Couriers, manages route coverage and scheduling, and supports both ground and air transport workflows. This role collaborates closely with Dispatch and the Day Logistics Supervisor to monitor tracking systems, resolve operational issues, manage air cargo handoffs, respond to vehicle emergencies, and maintain the safe and efficient movement of specimens throughout the network. The Logistics Supervisor also supports fleet oversight and serves as an auditor for logistics-related reporting, including Dispatch, Incident, Flagged, Error, and Delay reports. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, solutions-focused, and confident in leading teams in a fast-paced operational environment. Schedule Monday–Friday, approximately 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM MDT A 30-minute unpaid meal break is provided during non-peak hours. Flexibility is required to address operational needs before or after standard hours, including occasional weekend availability to support business continuity. This position includes both in-office and on-the-road responsibilities. Responsibilities • Manage, assign, and oversee weekly schedules for Couriers and Lead Couriers, ensuring complete route coverage • Review and approve timecards, time-off requests, expenses, and corrective actions in Paycom • Conduct regional meetings, team check-ins, and one-on-one coaching sessions • Participate in interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members • Support Dispatch with stop-related inquiries, operational issues, route optimization, and inefficiencies • Collaborate with the Day Logistics Supervisor on specimen transport issues, delays, air cargo activities, flagged reports, and quality/audit needs • Address courier errors, route concerns, and missed or at-risk pickups with cross-functional partners • Assist with STAT runs, airport runs, and support stops as needed • Ensure fleet condition, vehicle tracking, and maintenance needs are monitored and addressed • Monitor handoff and cutoff times, adjusting routes in coordination with Dispatch as needed • Audit logistics reporting, including Dispatch, Courier, Incident, Flagged, Error, and Delay reports, identifying trends and recommending improvements • Maintain safety, compliance, and professional service standards • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager Required Qualifications • Minimum 2+ years as a Lead or Supervisor in logistics, transportation, courier, or delivery operations • Minimum 2+ years of courier or delivery driving experience • Must be at least 21 years old • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record • Reliable personal transportation with active auto insurance • Active smartphone with a sufficient data plan • Strong understanding of courier operations and logistics workflows • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills • Strong problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail • Ability to run routes as needed and lead by example • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and move specimen containers or supplies • Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently (up to 30+ times per shift) • Comfortable driving at night and in varied weather conditions • Ability to work in both office and outdoor environments Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Paycom or similar HRIS/timekeeping systems • Experience with air cargo coordination (flight bookings, delays, cancellations, handoffs) • Experience with fleet oversight, maintenance tracking, or quality/audit reporting • Experience leading multi-region or multi-state logistics teams Job Type Full-time, W2 (Salary, Exempt) Salary $52,000–$55,000 annually Benefits for Full-Time W2 Team Members New benefits effective January 1, 2026.
