You can also call my office number at 424-270-9193**** We are looking for an experienced Senior Ansible Automation Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will design and implement robust automation solutions for Azure-based Windows and Linux workloads, ensuring seamless integration and adherence to industry standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive automation strategies that enhance efficiency, reduce manual processes, and ensure compliance with security and governance policies. This position is located in Woodland Hills, California. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain reusable, modular Ansible roles and playbooks tailored for both Windows Server and Linux environments. • Implement enterprise-grade OS hardening and security baselines, ensuring compliance with industry standards. • Automate the deployment and validation of third-party agents, such as Microsoft Defender, Automox, Tenable, and Zabbix. • Build scalable Ansible structures, including tasks, handlers, variables, and requirements files, to support consistent automation workflows. • Integrate Ansible automation with Azure VM provisioning, extensions, and policy-driven onboarding processes. • Ensure compatibility of automation workflows with Azure marketplace images and hardened configurations. • Design idempotent and self-healing automation solutions that include rigorous testing and validation strategies. • Collaborate with internal teams to align automation practices with security standards and cloud governance policies. • Contribute to Git repository management, ensuring version control and documentation for all automation libraries. • Participate in code reviews and improve workflows to maintain high-quality automation practices. • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Ansible automation or similar configuration management tools. • Comprehensive knowledge of Ansible roles, collections, and best practices for folder structures. • Proven expertise in automating Windows and Linux workloads. • Strong understanding of Azure virtual machine architecture and resource dependencies. • Familiarity with industry benchmarks for security hardening and compliance. • Proficiency in using Git, CI/CD workflows, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies. • Experience integrating Ansible with tools such as Ansible Tower, Azure Automation, or GitHub Actions. • Knowledge of remote management tools like Microsoft Defender, Automox, Tenable, and Zabbix. • *** For Faster response on the position, please send a message to Jimmy Escobar on LinkedIn or send an email to Jimmy.Escobar@roberthalf(.com) with your resume.
