The M&A Due Diligence Sr. Associate will assist our growing transaction advisory practice in the areas of pre-deal diligence, post-acquisition improvement, and merger integration. The person in this role will have a balance of operational and technology skillsets to assess technology associated with business applications, infrastructure, and general architecture supporting the transaction. Responsibilities Include: Work in a team serving clients across diverse industries and technology platforms. In relation to the deal advisory integration and separation process, participate and assess the Information Technology (IT) related opportunities and risks, develop an action plan to address, and communicate due diligence results in a non-technical fashion Evaluate the Information Technology related performance of companies and develop plans for improvement and expense reduction Provide project management and planning to help facilitate the integration of IT operations and organizations resulting from a roll-up and/or complete separation work from a parent organization Drive the development and presentation of final project deliverables Actively contribute to go-to-market/industry activities and manage the quality of engagements Perform technical due diligence related middle market companies and private equity investors. Aggregate and analyze target company data to identify historical and projected system, skillset (personnel), and operating trends. Write detailed reports to present diligence findings to clients with accompanying data points or references. Advise clients on how to maximize opportunities and minimize risks related to mergers and acquisitions, as well as the impact to deal terms. Develop and propose creative solutions to engagement and transaction risks and effectively manage problem resolution. Interface with senior client executives, target companies, and other firms/resources involved in the transaction. Display the ability to manage and prioritize team responsibilities, and proactively consult with managers, directors, and partners. Work on multiple projects of varying size and complexity. Play an integral role in developing relationships with current and prospective clients, identify market opportunities, and articulate the RKON value proposition. Demonstrate the ability to interface with senior stakeholders and other firms/resources involved in the transaction. Technical and Professional Expertise: Experience managing or analyzing P&L statements, and financial modeling experience to build and manage complex synergy and cash flow models related to M&A transactions. A minimum of 2 years of applicable work experience including experience in one of the following: financial audit, transaction advisory services, investment banking, financial consulting or other M&A experience. Advanced MS Excel skills and strong working knowledge of other MS Office applications, specifically PowerPoint. Demonstrated ability to learn and succeed in a fast-paced and unconventional work environment is essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Work within the time sensitive nature of transactional M&A services. Candidates must be eligible to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship. Candidates must be able to adhere to standard non-compete and confidentiality agreements. Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $140,000-$170,000. This is an estimated range based on the circumstances at the time of posting, however, may change based on a combination of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, education, market factors, geographical location, budget, and demand. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. As part of our total compensation package, RKON provides a benefits package that includes health insurance (medical, dental, vision, life, and long and short-term disability insurance); flexible time off; and a 401(k) Plan with employer match to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
