Riverpoint Medical in Northeast Portland is looking to hire a Human Resources Generalist. At Riverpoint you will be part of the process that brings great technology to Medical, Dental and Veterinary markets. We specialize in the design and manufacturing of premium medical devices. Our ingenuity can be found in our suture technologies, sports medicine fibers and anchors, surgical lighting, and special needle technologies. The Human Resources Generalist facilitates the human resource process including talent acquisition, new hire orientation and onboarding and administration of company policies. The HR Generalist ensures policies are administered in accordance with state and federal regulations. This position provides support to the human resource function as needed, including HRIS entry and support. Duties and Responsibilities for the position include: * Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions * Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings * Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the hiring manager or Director of HR and performs other administrative functions * Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs * Assist with FMLA leave, benefits administration, I-9 compliance, and year-end tasks. * Build relationships with managers and employees, gathering work logs and ensuring HR processes align with organizational goals. * Leverage technology to streamline HR operations and support innovative solutions. * Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance * Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contributes to the development of policies * Primary backup for payroll processing, including bi-weekly updates to employee files, tracking PTO, hourly employees’ validation, updating status changes Skills and Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field or equivalent work experience * 2- 5 years Human Resources training or experience is a plus * Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness * Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies * Superior knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, and comfortable learning new technology systems as needed; ADP Workforce Now experience a strong plus * Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations. * SHRM-CP or PHR certification a plus.
