Senior Business Analyst/Architect – Field Service Management (FSM) Location: Hybrid (Remote Eligible) – Travel required every other week (Tuesdays & Wednesdays) Preferred Location: San Diego, CA and surrounding areasPosition Summary We are seeking a seasoned Senior Business Analyst/Architect with extensive experience in Field Service Management and a strong background in the utilities and energy sectors. In this leadership role, you will guide the design and delivery of FSM solutions to meet evolving business needs. You'll also be responsible for building a high-performing technical team and ensuring best practices across all phases of solution delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Design & ArchitectureLead the architecture of FSM solutions customized to the needs of utilities and energy clientsDevelop detailed system blueprints, data flows, and integration plansEnsure scalable, secure, and industry-compliant solution designsTechnical LeadershipProvide hands-on technical guidance during implementation phasesCollaborate across development, project management, and business analysis teamsStay current on emerging technologies to inform and evolve solution strategyClient EngagementAct as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their operations and challengesTranslate business requirements into functional and technical specificationsPresent and defend architectural decisions with clarity and confidenceTeam Leadership & MentorshipBuild and mentor a team of skilled technical professionalsDefine team roles, responsibilities, and success metricsPromote a culture of learning, innovation, and accountabilityQuality & Continuous ImprovementEstablish standards for design quality, coding, and integrationLead code reviews and enforce architectural governanceIdentify opportunities to streamline delivery and enhance outcomesQualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related fieldAdvanced degree (MBA or Master’s) preferredRequired Experience10+ years of experience implementing FSM solutions, with strong domain knowledge in utilities and energyProven success in large-scale FSM implementations and systems integration (ERP, CRM, CIS, BI, etc.)Proficiency in web technologies (XML, JSON, HTML5, AngularJS, etc.)Experience with REST and SOAP APIs for enterprise system integrationDeep understanding of utility operations, asset management, and complianceDemonstrated ability to lead and mentor high-performing teamsStrong project planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to travel domestically or internationally, as needed per projectPreferred SkillsExperience with FSM platformsBackground in consulting or client-facing delivery rolesFamiliarity with GIS integrations and mobile workforce solutionsUnderstanding of IoT, AI, and ML applications in FSMRelevant professional certifications in architecture or technical fields Apply for the job now!
