We're hiring our first internal Finance & Payroll Manager to lead core business support functions. This is a foundational role with outsized impact — perfect for someone who enjoys building systems, solving problems, and working directly with operators on the front lines. Position Summary: As our Finance & Payroll Manager, you’ll be responsible for running payroll, administering benefits, managing payables, and supporting general business operations across our growing network. You’ll work closely with our General Managers and Regional General Managers to ensure operational efficiency and excellent employee support. While this role does not require a formal finance or accounting background, strong organizational skills, reliability, and attention to detail are a must. Key Responsibilities: • Process biweekly payroll using Paycor, ensuring accuracy and compliance • Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, and communication • Serve as the point of contact for GMs and Regional GMs on payroll, time tracking, and benefits • Manage vendor invoices and payments through Bill.com • Track and maintain payroll and HR-related records • Assist with onboarding support for new hires related to payroll and benefits • Collaborate with external partners such as benefits brokers and HR consultants • Support other business operations projects as needed in a fast-growing environment Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience in payroll, HR, operations, or a related administrative role • Familiarity with Paycor and Bill.com strongly preferred • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through • Strong interpersonal and communication skills — especially working with non-HR colleagues • Comfort working independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment • Resourceful, proactive, and willing to learn new systems and processes • Passion for pets and interest in supporting a mission-driven company a plus Why Join Wags N Whiskers: • Join a high-growth, pet-loving company on the ground floor • Make a real impact as the first finance & operations support hire • Collaborate with a team of passionate operators across multiple states • Flexible work environment and competitive compensation • Opportunities for growth as the company scales Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $55,000.00 per year Benefits: • Dental insurance • Employee discount • Flexible schedule • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
