Key Responsibilities Teaching and Curriculum Development: Teach courses in the Special Education graduate and undergraduate programs, with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis. Develop and deliver curricula that are grounded in current research and best practices in the field. Graduate Practicum Supervision: Supervise graduate students in practicum experiences, providing guidance and mentorship as they develop their skills in ABA. Research and Scholarship: Maintain an active research agenda related to your area of expertise within ABA, contributing to the field through scholarly publications, presentations, and grants. Student Advising and Mentoring: Advise and mentor graduate students, supporting their academic and professional development. Department and University Service: Participate in department and university committees, contributing to program development and other initiatives that advance the mission of the university. Qualifications and Requirements To be considered for this position, you must meet the following minimum qualifications: An earned doctorate in Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or a related field. Exceptional ABD candidates with a firm completion date will be considered. Current BCBA or BCBA-D certification. Excellent teaching skills, with the ability to teach in in-person, hybrid, synchronous online, and asynchronous online delivery formats. A record of scholarly productivity in ABA, including behavioral research. For consideration at the Associate Professor rank, you must also demonstrate: At least three years of prior experience teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in public and/or private schools. At least three years of experience as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, with a history of supervising aspiring behavior analysts. Experience teaching synchronous and asynchronous online classes. A strong record of scholarly activity. Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need: A deep understanding of ABA principles and practices, with the ability to apply them in educational settings. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and community partners. A commitment to staying current with developments in the field, through ongoing professional development and scholarship.
