Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our finance team. This role involves managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting various accounting functions across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate accounting, proficiency with Quick Books, and a solid understanding of GAAP principles. Duties • Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation • Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently • Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements • Assist with budgeting, financial report writing, and financial analysis for management review • Handle payroll processing and tax-related tasks with precision • Ensure compliance with GAAP and governmental accounting standards where applicable • Support internal audits and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations • Maintain double-entry bookkeeping system to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded Skills • Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks • Strong understanding of corporate accounting • Knowledge of GAAP standards and technical accounting principles • Proficiency in bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation • Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable processes, payroll management, and tax experience • Ability to perform detailed account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation accurately • Excellent understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and financial report writing • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently • Effective communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and collaborating with team members This role is ideal for candidates who are meticulous professionals with a passion for accurate financial management.
