(Phoenix, AZ) Role is part time and flexible hours. About Redcar Redcar is a fast-growing company building modern tools and systems for the Plumbing and HVAC home services industry. We’re looking for a highly experienced General Manager who can bring deep operational insight from running service companies across multiple departments and locations. Role Overview This GM position is primarily advisory to start. You won’t be running day-to-day operations—instead, you’ll guide our team on real-world best practices, help define processes, evaluate workflows, and participate in Zoom calls and strategic projects. Your experience running HVAC/Plumbing operations is the value. You’ll help us shape systems, leadership standards, KPIs, SOPs, and ServiceTitan workflows so we can build world-class tools and scalable operations. Light operational examples or scenario walkthroughs may be needed occasionally, but the role is largely strategic and advisory. Responsibilities (Advisory-Focused) • Provide expert guidance on how top HVAC/Plumbing companies run operations • Review and refine workflows for service, install, dispatch, warehouse, and admin • Help define KPIs, scorecards, accountability systems, and leadership standards • Advise on SOPs and operational structure across all departments • Evaluate ServiceTitan usage, dashboards, routing logic, and price book setup • Participate in Zoom calls, internal projects, and process reviews • Offer insight on scaling operations across multiple locations or teams • Support financial reviews, job costing logic, and margin improvement strategies • Help shape systems that enable fast, profitable, and disciplined growth Requirements • 7+ years leadership in HVAC, Plumbing, or home services operations • Experience managing multiple departments or multi-location operations • Strong understanding of P&L, KPIs, and operational performance drivers • Expert-level familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar platforms • Proven ability to document processes and create strong operational systems • Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership presence • Able to provide high-quality advisory insight without managing daily operations Additional Notes Role is high pay because we are looking to work with the best.
