Provide L3 operational support for UNIX/Linux infrastructure including monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, automation, and collaboration with on-site teams.
Experience with UNIX/Linux system monitoring and troubleshooting, knowledge of GPFS, LSF, OpenShift, RStudio, Ansible Tower, Red Hat Satellite, and ability to participate in on-call rotations and on-site collaboration.
We are looking for a UNIX/Linux Support Engineer (L3) to provide comprehensive operational support for our enterprise's mixed UNIX/Linux infrastructure. Requirements • Monitor and resolve alerts via ServiceNow and TrueSight for Linux/Unix and virtualized systems. • Troubleshoot filesystem, CPU, memory, swap, and agent issues. • Execute approved standard changes such as service restarts, configuration updates, and agent reinstalls. • Perform health checks and first-level troubleshooting for GPFS, LSF, OpenShift, and RStudio environments. • Use Ansible Tower and Red Hat Satellite for patching and configuration management. • Maintain and improve automation scripts and reporting tools for recurring operational tasks. • Collaborate with the on-site team and L3 SMEs for escalated or hardware-dependent incidents. • Participate in the on-call rotation approximately once per month, providing after-hours support for high-priority incidents. • Coordinate tasks with L3 Support Engineers. • Ensure ServiceNow tickets and incident bridges are properly updated during off-hours events.
