Job Title: DevOps Solutions Lead Engineer Location: Huntsville, Alabama Experience: 12+ Years Employment Type: Contract Interview Type: In-Person or Webcam Job Description We are seeking an experienced DevOps Solutions Lead Engineer to drive end-to-end delivery of DevOps strategy, automation, infrastructure, and CI/CD processes across cloud and on-prem environments. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, security, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in architecting and implementing enterprise DevOps solutions, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead technical teams. Key Responsibilities • Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks. • Oversee and improve the DevOps ecosystem including configuration management, monitoring, security, and deployment processes. • Collaborate with software engineering and infrastructure teams to improve automation, performance, and reliability. • Define DevOps standards, best practices, and implementation strategies across multiple teams and environments. • Architect and support cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS, Azure, or hybrid platforms. • Manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. • Implement and optimize containerization and orchestration platforms including Docker and Kubernetes. • Establish observability frameworks using logging, monitoring, and alerting tools. • Support troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root cause analysis for production issues. • Mentor and provide technical guidance to DevOps engineers and project teams. • Ensure security and compliance controls are implemented across the deployment pipeline. Required Qualifications • 12+ years of overall IT experience with a strong background in DevOps engineering and automation. • Proven experience leading DevOps transformation and implementing enterprise-scale solutions. • Strong expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions. • Solid knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and associated services. • Hands-on experience with container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm. • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Groovy. • Strong understanding of configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef). • Experience using Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code. • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, CloudWatch, or Datadog. • Understanding of networking, system administration, and security best practices. • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts effectively. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
