About Precon Events Precon Events is a leader in live event production, known for delivering memorable experiences through the combined expertise of our Producers, Technical Directors, Project Managers, and event specialists. We are seeking a hands-on Event Fabricator & Production Coordinator to support the warehouse, fabrication shop, and onsite event operations. You’ll join a collaborative, solutions-driven team that values craftsmanship, accountability, and problem-solving. Role Summary The Coordinator assists with scenic fabrication, warehouse organization, equipment preparation, and on-site installations and breakdowns. You’ll work closely with the Production Operations Manager, Project Managers, Technical Directors, and field crews to ensure event elements are built, packed, transported, and executed safely and accurately. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has fabrication or scenic construction experience, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This full-time, on-site role supports the operational backbone of Precon’s events. Key Responsibilities Event Production & On-Site Support • Oversee and participate in the installation and dismantling of event elements including pipe and drape, staging, scenic pieces, décor, lighting elements, and custom builds. • Serve as a crew member for onsite setups and strikes, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. • Load and unload trucks and move equipment both in the warehouse and onsite. • Work with onsite crews locally and occasionally nationally. • Problem-solve onsite challenges and support seamless transitions from design to implementation. Fabrication & Scenic Work • Assist with the fabrication, construction, painting, repair, and preparation of scenic elements, event décor, props, and custom pieces. • Work with renderings, drawings, and design notes to help bring scenic elements to life. • Support test builds, prototyping, and troubleshooting first-time installations. • Maintain shop tools, equipment, and materials, reporting repair or replacement needs as they arise. Warehouse & Logistics Coordination • Maintain the organization, cleanliness, and operation of the warehouse and sprinter van/truck. • Assist with loading and unloading trucks and shipping crates, ensuring accuracy against pull lists. • Oversee shipping and receiving duties, including inspecting deliveries, managing returns, and handling rentals. Team Collaboration • Coordinate with the Production Operations Manager and cross-functional teams on project timelines and warehouse needs. • Communicate proactively about challenges, improvements, and resource requirements. What You Bring to the Table Required • 3 years of experience in event production, scenic fabrication, theater/film, construction, or warehouse operations. • Hands-on fabrication skills: carpentry, painting, basic shop work. • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical, fast-paced work. • Clean driving record and ability to drive a 26’ straight truck (no CDL required). • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Preferred • Familiarity with technical drawings, design renderings, and production layouts. • Experience supporting labor crews or working with staffing partners.
